How to Request Access to ICRN

ICRN is available to anyone affiliated with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a NetID and NetID password. You do not need to request access from Illinois Computes prior to logging in to ICRN.

How to Log In

  1. Go to the ICRN log in page and click Sign in with CILogon.

  2. Verify University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is the selected identity provider and click Log On.

  3. Select (or enter) your <NetID>@illinois.edu account and click Next.

  4. Enter your NetID password, click Sign in, and approve the University of Illinois Duo MFA push on your phone.

  5. Select the Python, R, or PyTorch server and click Start.

    You are now logged in to the ICRN JupyterLab environment. To switch between the Python, R, and PyTorch servers, stop and re-start your server.

How to Switch Between Python, R, and PyTorch Servers

You can only run one server at a time, to switch between the Python, R, and PyTorch servers, you need to stop and re-start your server.

  1. In your current JupyterLab environment, open the File menu and select Hub Control Panel.

  2. Click Stop My Server.

  3. Click Start My Server.

  4. Select a server and click Start.
