Access Methods

General Notes:

Due to the relatively low inode quota on Granite compared to active file systems users are strongly encouraged to bundle data up prior to sending it to Granite. Data cannot be bundled while on Granite itself.

Globus

Globus is a web-based file transfer system that works in the background to move files between systems with Globus endpoints. Go to Transferring Files - Globus for instructions on using Globus with NCSA computing resources.

The Granite endpoint collection name is “NCSA Granite”.

Allocations via ACCESS are available at: /granite/nsf/access/[project-code]

S3

Feature still being deployed, more documentation coming soon

Target granite-s3.ncsa.illinois.edu from any public or private-routed resource within NPCF to send data to or retrieve data from tape.
