NOTE: The below pricing is for direct Granite investments for projects/teams that either:

  • Need space and don’t qualify for NSF ACCESS or Illinois Computes allocations

  • Need more space than NSF ACCESS or Illinois Computes can provide

Single-Copy Rate*

Dual-Copy Rate

  • Internal: $15.62/TB/year

  • External: $24.78/TB/year

* The single-copy rate is only available to teams that formally attest that the copy on Granite is a backup copy to a primary copy located on another professionally managed storage system

Internal vs External Pricing

Internal pricing is available for all Illinois funded and grant funded programs, essentially all accounts that have a CFOP. External pricing is for accounts external to the U of I System that do not have a CFOP. If you are unsure which pricing applies to you, reach out for clarification.

F&A Overhead

The listed Granite rates are exempted from facilities and administrative (F&A) overhead that is applied to purchases made against many types of funds over a certain cost threshold. The rates listed should be the “all in” costs and are the basis for which accounts are be charged.
